Aloo Chaat Recipe
Aloo Chaat is a delicious and popular Indian street food snack made with potatoes and a variety of spices. Here's a recipe for Aloo Chaat using Roopak's Aloo Chaat Masala:
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled, peeled, and cubed
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tomato, finely chopped
- 1 Green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/4 Cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Roopak's Aloo Chaat Masala
- 1 Teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Tamarind chutney or mint chutney (optional)
- Sev (thin fried gram flour noodles), for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cubed potatoes and fry until they turn golden brown and crisp. Remove the fried potatoes from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the fried potatoes, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped green chili (if using), and chopped coriander leaves.
- Sprinkle Roopak's Aloo Chaat Masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt over the potato mixture.
- Drizzle lemon juice over the mixture and toss everything gently until all the ingredients are well combined and coated with the spices.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve the Aloo Chaat garnished with sev and drizzled with tamarind chutney or mint chutney if desired.
Enjoy your delicious homemade Aloo Chaat as a snack or appetizer!
