Roopak's Namkeen Lassi is a delicious and refreshing drink that combines the richness of yogurt with savory flavors. Here's a basic recipe for Namkeen Lassi:


  • 1 Cup plain yogurt (preferably full-fat)
  • 1 Cup cold water
  • 1/2 Teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon chaat masala
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)


  • In a blender, add plain yogurt, cold water, roasted cumin powder, black salt, chaat masala, and black pepper.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth and frothy.
  • Taste the lassi and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more black salt or chaat masala if needed.
  • If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add more yogurt. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can add more water.
  • Once you're satisfied with the taste and consistency, pour the lassi into glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
  • You can also add ice cubes to make it even more refreshing.
