Jal Jeera Masala Recipe

Here's a basic recipe for Jal Jeera Masala using Roopak's Jal Jeera Masala:

  • 2 Tablespoons Roopak Jal Jeera Masala
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon black salt
  • 1 Teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1 Teaspoon dry mango powder (amchur)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
  • 2 Tablespoons tamarind paste
  • 4 Cups chilled water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • In a bowl, add Roopak Jal Jeera Masala.
  • Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the bowl.
  • Add black salt, roasted cumin powder, dry mango powder, black pepper powder, red chili powder (if using), and tamarind paste to the bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients well to form a smooth paste.
  • Gradually add chilled water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Once all the water is added, mix well until everything is dissolved.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Transfer the Jal Jeera Masala mixture to a jug or pitcher.
  • Add ice cubes to the jug to chill the drink further.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  • Stir well before serving.
  • Serve chilled Jal Jeera Masala in glasses.
