Here's a recipe for Butter Chicken using Roopak's Butter Chicken Masala:
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken, boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 Tablespoons Roopak's Butter Chicken Masala
- 1 Cup yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee
- 1 Large onion, finely chopped
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1-Inch piece of ginger, minced
- 2 Tomatoes, pureed
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 Cup cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with Roopak's Butter Chicken Masala and yogurt. Ensure the chicken pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer in the refrigerator.
- Heat oil or ghee in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for another couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Stir in the tomato puree and tomato paste. Cook the mixture until the oil starts to separate from the tomatoes, indicating it's well-cooked.
- Add the marinated chicken along with the marinade into the skillet. Mix well and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Pour in the cream and stir well. Let the mixture simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Taste and adjust salt if necessary. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
- Once done, turn off the heat. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or naan bread. Enjoy your homemade Butter Chicken made with Roopak's Butter Chicken Masala!
