Here's a simple recipe for Aloo Puri using Roopak's Aloo Puri Masala:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1 Cup water
  • 2-3 Medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 2 Tablespoons Roopak's Aloo Puri Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, Roopak's Aloo Puri Masala, and salt. Mix well.
  • Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a smooth dough. The dough should be firm yet pliable. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
  • After resting, divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls. Roll each ball between your palms to make them smooth.
  • Take one dough ball and flatten it slightly. Dust it with flour and roll it out into a small circle (puri) using a rolling pin. The puri should be about 4-5 inches in diameter and of medium thickness.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently slide in the rolled-out puri. Fry until it puffs up and turns golden brown on both sides. Use a slotted spoon to flip the puri if needed.
  • Remove the fried puri from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
  • Serve hot Aloo Puri with your favorite side dish such as potato curry, chole (chickpea curry), or any other curry of your choice.
